For the Winter 2020 limited edition from Field Notes, wherein each of the 99,999 books featured an entirely different snowflake (created and printed using wildly complex fractal math and computer-y work), we wanted to capture the intricacy and detail of the images. We used a macro probe lens and our motion control rig (essentially a camera robot) and got in there as close as we possibly could, while also keeping things dynamic. We also used fake snow at the end, which was fun to play with.
