Basecamp founders, Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, were preparing to launch their latest best-selling book, “It Doesn’t Have to Be Crazy at Work,” and wanted to put together a series of promos, portraying some of the negative aspects of the near-dystopia that work can be in the business world (they also wanted them to be funny and poke a bit at the startup/tech world). We produced and directed the series, working with a cast of insanely talented actors who worked off outlines and improvised monologues again and again until we got them perfect. This was one of our favorites.
